What we have been able to accomplish in life has been thanks, in part, to those who believed in us, encouraged us, and challenged us. To pay that encouragement forward and challenge future Borah students to be all they can be, we have established the Borah Class of 1968 Scholarship.

In the spring of 2015, we met our initial goal, which was to raise $25,000 to endow the fund. The fund is managed by the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity. The fund will award at least $1,000 annually, in perpetuity, to help a deserving Borah student continue his or her education.

A few highlights of the scholarship program:

Interested students should contact the Career Counselor at Borah. Information on how to apply for the scholarship can be found here.

Believing, encouraging, and challenging in one small but mighty Borah Lion way--the Borah Class of 1968 Scholarship. Please consider helping sustain the legacy. You can use our Gift Form to submit a donation.

Another way to support the fund, suggested by Lynette Brown Sali, is to include in your will or other documents expressing your final wishes that you would like to direct any memorial donations to our Scholarship Fund. Here's the wording that Lynette is using:

Memorials may be given in _____’s name to the Borah Class of 1968 Scholarship Fund (The Scholarship Fund awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors.) Make a check out to the Boise Public Schools Foundation, referencing “Borah Class of 1968 Scholarship - Memorial for ________” on your check.  Mail to the Boise Public Schools Foundation, 8169 West Victory Road, Boise, ID  83709.
